Commanding an entire city block, Maxxam acquired this 1-acre site operating as a car wash at the time, with plans to redevelop the property into a new mixed-use project. The high barrier to entry mixed use project was approved with ground-floor retail and 30 luxury residential units on two levels above. The retail tenants will benefit from over 200 feet of frontage along Wilshire Boulevard, a prime stretch which serves the greater Santa Monica and Brentwood communities. The residential units were designed around numerous private and public courtyards containing firepits, water features, outdoor lounges and other amenities which eliminated the need for any enclosed hallways.
